Fresh from a successful European tour and the rapid sellout of their latest EP ‘Light/Moon Joy’ on the prestigious Space Grapes label, Collettivo Immaginario have established themselves as the next jazz-funk trio to watch out for. Their sound is characterised by atypical harmonic and rhythmic structures juxtaposed with moments of sonic meditation, evoking a multidirectional style with clear references to jazz-funk, Brazilian folk music, disco and library music. The trio, made up of Alberto Lincetto (Fender Rhodes/synth), Nicolò Masetto (electric bass) and Tommaso Cappellato (drums/percussion), made their recording debut in 2019 with the single ‘Closer To TheSun’ for UK label First Word Records, followed by the album ‘Trasforma’ for Domanda Music in 2022.
