Carried by a stork who while listening to Arvo Pärt on headphones crashed into a King Crimson billboard, Satoyama was born in 2013. Since they play trumpet, guitar, double bass and drums, some people think their music is dreamy and imaginative, and sometimes they win awards. They record one record, then two that are released by the unwitting Auand Records label. Marked as one of the best records of May 2021, “Sinking Islands” is rewarded by Bandcamp with a bottle of Piedmontese grappa. In the meantime, they travel and play halfway across Europe, all over Italy and then Russia, and in all concerts they leave an indelible memory of a journey between nature and music and a few broken hearts. They work and co-create plays, music for films, collaborate with environmental associations and juggle absurd interviews. No one has ever poken ill of them, because their music covers bad thoughts.
