The four members of FRANTX explore the limits of their instruments through extended techniques, unconventional amplification systems, and electronic extensions; always searching for new ways of interacting, constructing, and mutually destroying. Inspired by the spirit of noise-punk and mumble trap, immersed in post-internet sonic drifts, FRANTX writes songs in Piedmontese and improvises electroacoustic collages that blend TikTok chains with musique concrète. FRANTX creates a hyper-speed dimension where the four instrumentalists merge into an angry grommelot demanding love through a vocoder. FRANTX was born to challenge our roles as improvisational musicians and to focus attention on the political dimension in which performers and composers must evolve. Music for its own sake, but also to explore and reclaim new ways of being that are non-binary, ambiguous, and never passive.
